Wanna Know More?
Ok. This is such a big deal, I wrote a whole blog post about it, which you can find right over here. Suffice it to say that you deserve a Professional (as I always say, with a capital P). Someone who’s honed their craft, mastered the art of ceremony, and actually knows what they’re doing. A pro who has been trained, has practiced, and possibly even taken voice lessons (because a ceremony should be heard and felt, not just nervously mumbled through).
And look, not to be all crass and talk about money, but you do get what you pay for. Handing the job to a friend might seem meaningful, but it can also be a lot of pressure for them. I’ve seen it—teary besties and choked-up siblings who get so overwhelmed they can barely get through the ceremony. Sweet? Yes. Ideal? Not so much.
Me? I get to know my couples so well that guests often assume we’re old friends. But here’s the difference: I bring the emotional connection and the polished, well-oiled, beautifully flowing ceremony machine that you and your guests will actually remember - for all the right reasons! You deserve that. And that’s exactly what I deliver.
Short answer: Nope.
Long answer: I’m happy to perform secular and spiritual weddings, but full-on religious ceremonies just aren’t my thing. It’s not about discrimination—it’s about authenticity. You deserve an officiant who genuinely connects with your beliefs, not someone awkwardly reciting First Corinthians like they’re reading a script in a high school play. That’s just not me.
As for non-denominational ceremonies, that’s really just a fancy way of saying religious but without picking a team. If that’s what you’re after, I’m probably not the right fit—but I’d be happy to point you in the direction of someone who is!
I love to! It’s always an honor to work with LGBTQ+ couples. I’m a proud supporter of Marriage Equality for All.
I don’t discriminate, period. Race, culture, gender, sexual orientation—who you are and who you love will always be welcomed and celebrated in the ceremonies I create. So if you’re looking for an officiant who’s 100% on board with making your wedding joyful, authentic, and you—I’m your person.
I strongly encourage rehearsals. Things just run smoother when we’ve walked through them at least once. That’s why my ceremonies include a virtual rehearsal — we’ll hop on a video call and walk through the key moments so you know what to expect.
Want me there in person to run the whole shebang? I can absolutely do that! In-person rehearsal coordination is available as an add-on (subject to availability and travel fees). I’ll take the reins, get everyone in formation, and make sure the whole crew knows what they’re doing.
And while I’m happy to coordinate with your planner or venue coordinator, here’s the deal: after years as both a wedding planner and an officiant (and, let’s be honest, my mild trust issues), I prefer to run the rehearsal myself. That way, I can make sure we hit all the major points properly—because if something goes sideways, I’m the one standing up there with you, making sure it all comes together.
I’ll tailor my outfit to fit the colors and vibe of your wedding. Casual wedding? I’ll keep it laid-back. Something formal? I’ll dress to match the occasion. Themed wedding? Yes, please! I’m more than happy to collaborate on the perfect look.
Rest assured, I won’t show up in anything that clashes or steals the spotlight (unless, of course, you want me in drag!!)
I take care of that for you! After the ceremony, I’ll submit your marriage license by mail to the proper jurisdiction. Most counties give me between 10 and 30 days to do this, but I don’t procrastinate—I send it off within 3 days of your wedding.
Why do I insist on handling it myself? a) I have trust issues. b) It’s one less thing for you to stress about. c) Did I mention I have trust issues?? (LOL, but seriously.)
In all honesty, you’ve got enough on your plate. Let me make sure your license gets where it needs to go—so you can just focus on being married.
Yay! I’m so excited to work with you! 🎉 Just click HERE to head over to my Contact page, where you’ll fill out a quick form so I can get some details and get the ball rolling!!
